Kemi Badenoch claims that Tory councils deliver lower taxes and better services.
As usual with the Tories, this is the opposite of the truth.
Conservative-run councils are the worst run in Britain.
Buckinghamshire - where the Tories launched their campaign - proves it:
- Council debt exceeds £282 million.
- Council tax is up over 25% in just 5 years.
- £1.5 million wasted on PR firms to spin for them.
- £9 million blown on a nanny state lifestyle service to tell us to stop smoking and drinking.
- £10 million spent on external lawyers—despite an in-house legal team.
- …and for all this the CEO Rachel Shimmin earns £240,000. That’s £73,000 more than the Prime Minister.
